Miami-to-Dallas flight makes emergency landing in Fort Myers, Fla.

FORT MYERS, Fla., April 24 (UPI) -- An American Airlines flight from Miami to Dallas made an emergency landing in Fort Myers, Fla., Wednesday morning after the crew reported a mechanical problem.

Flight 675, with 189 people aboard, was directed to land at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, where another plane was brought in to take the passengers to Dallas, WBFS-TV, Miami, reported.

There was no immediate information on injuries to the passengers, or on the nature of the mechanical problem aboard the Boeing 757.
