Four die in Tennessee house fire

LAFAYETTE, Tenn., March 4 (UPI) -- Four people were killed in a house fire in Tennessee's Macon County, officials said.

The fire started in the home in Lafayette at about 7 p.m. Sunday, WSMV-TV, Nashville, reported.

An elderly couple perished in the fire, along with the wife's sister and a neighbor who attempted to run into the house and save the residents, officials said.

Fire crews have recovered all of the bodies from the house, except the neighbor's, which they are still searching for, officials said.

The cause of the fire was not reported.
