A plane carrying 70 passengers heading to the Dominican Republic was forced to land after it hit a bird. The plane landed back at JFK without incident and travelers were able to board a new plane about 90 minutes later.

On Sunday, a JetBlue flight en route to Nassau, Bahamas, hit a bird about an hour after its 9:59 a.m. take-off, a JetBlue spokesperson said. The pilot returned the plane, which was carrying 125 passengers, back to JFK although it was determined that the bird strike caused no damage.

Passengers were later flown out on a substitute plane.
