DENVER, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- An office building was evacuated and some businesses locked down in Denver Monday while police searched for a wanted man, officials said.

Authorities did not immediately identify the man, who they said may be armed, or disclose why he was being sought, The Denver Post reported.

Police vehicles and a SWAT team were at the Petroleum Building on 16th Street downtown.

Police said the man being sought had been seen earlier at a McDonald's across the street.

Shuttle buses were kept away from the immediate area.
