Accused 'Cathouse' star killer trial delay

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- A man accused of killing four people, including two pregnant women, one a prostitute featured on a TV show, had his trial in Oklahoma City delayed Tuesday.

Denny Phillips, 34, is charged with six counts of murder in the 2009 slayings. The victims were Milagrous Barrera, Casey Barrientos, Jennifer Ermey and Brooke Phillips, KWTV-TV, Oklahoma City, reported.

Brooke Phillips, who was featured on "Cathouse," the HBO show documenting life at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, a legal brothel near Carson City, Nev., and Ermey were both pregnant, leading authorities to seek two more murder charges against the suspect, the TV station said.

At his court hearing, Denny Phillips agreed to waive his right to have his trial within 180 days, allowing both sides more time to prepare, KWTV-TV said.

The Tulsa World reported at the time of his arrest in late April that the victims had been shot to death in November. Their bodies were found in a burning home.
