400 pounds of marijuana wash ashore

JUPITER, Fla., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- About 400 pounds of marijuana washed ashore in Jupiter, Fla., police said.

A fisherman discovered several burlap sacks containing packages of marijuana shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.

Investigators found a total of eight sacks containing 75 packages of marijuana.

The estimated worth of the marijuana is over $1 million, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
