LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Los Angeles police Monday apprehended a suspected shooter after receiving reports of a man firing a shotgun at construction workers on Sunset Boulevard.
Police converged on the busy Hollywood thoroughfare and shut down one eastbound lane shortly after 3 p.m. near North Cherokee Avenue while officers investigated the incident in which a man allegedly fired at the workers from an apartment complex, possibly from a balcony, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The suspected was taken into custody about 5:10 p.m. near the 6600 block of Hollywood Boulevard, the newspaper said.
No injuries had been reported.
