Man hides in ceiling after filming women

LEAWOOD, Kan., July 19 (UPI) -- A man in Overland Park, Kan., was arrested for taking a picture of a woman in a movie theater bathroom and hiding from police in the ceiling, officials said.

Carlos Moreira, 23, was charged Wednesday with breach of privacy and criminal trespass and his bail was set at $3,500, The Kansas City (Mo.) Star reported.

Police received a complaint Monday from a woman saying she saw someone film her with a camera or cell phone while she was using the rest room. Police searched for the man but could not find him. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to look for him in the ceiling, but he still was not found. He was eventually found on Tuesday in the ceiling near the women's bathroom.

Moreira was arrested Tuesday afternoon and pleaded not guilty Wednesday afternoon.
