HOUSTON, March 15 (UPI) -- The Harris County, Texas, Sheriff's Office said caregiver Lynn Creager Butler was jailed for striking an elderly man in her care with a TV remote.
Butler, 47, was charged with injury to an elderly individual, the Houston Chronicle reported Thursday.

The 77-year-old man in her care told police he was sitting on the couch in his home Tuesday when Butler threw the remote at him, hitting him in the nose, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Christina Garza told the newspaper.
Butler, who was being held at the Harris County Jail under a $5,000 bond, said she never threw the remote or struck her client. Court records indicate she is on probation for a first offense of driving while intoxicated.
