HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, N.J., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- The Holland Township, N.J., parents of three children with Nazi-themed names say state officials took custody of their newborn son 17 hours after he was born.
Heath and Deborah Campbell said New Jersey child welfare officials took their newborn son into custody Thursday night, about 17 hours after Deborah Campbell gave birth, The Express Times, Easton, Pa., reported.
The Campbells's three other children, Adolf Hitler, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie, were placed in foster care by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services in 2009 because the children were in danger based on previous violence in the Campbell household, past court filings state.
The Campbells said they did not know DYFS would take their newborn, Hons, and officials gave them no reason for taking their baby.
"There's no legal binding court order," Heath Campbell said. "It's basically a kidnapping, but they use different terms."
Deborah Campbell said guards were stationed outside of her hospital room to prevent her from having contact with her baby.
Pasquale Giannetta, an attorney for the Campbell family, said a court hearing has been scheduled for Monday to determine whether DYFS will keep custody of the newborn.
