BELLEVUE, Wash., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- The father of a missing Washington state toddler says his estranged wife's story of how the boy disappeared resembles a recent TV show.
On the episode of "Law and Order: SVU," a woman, trying to cover up a baby's accidental death, says the infant vanished after being left briefly in her car outside a New York store while she dashed in to buy diapers. Julia Biryukova told police in Bellevue, Wash., that she left her son, Sky, 2, in her car while she walked to a service station with her 4-year-old daughter after running out of gas.
Solomon Metalwala, in an interview on CNN, said his wife was a fan of "Law and Order: SVU," the Seattle Times reported. He also described her as having psychiatric problems, including depression.
"She had a routine," Metawala said, describing his wife as an obsessive housekeeper. "It would go for six to seven hours. So she would clean the house every day -- it didn't matter if we used that area or not."
Biryukova told police she was driving her children to a hospital because Sky was not feeling well. Police have determined her car had gas in it and were testing it Friday to find out if there were other mechanical problems.
Metalwala told ABC News his wife had described an upsetting dream: "In this dream she, she was strangling Sky, and it was very alarming."
