Jindal delivered his victory speech in Baton Rouge with highly successful Louisiana State football Coach Les Miles at his side.

"Every time I run for governor the LSU Tigers win the national championship," Jindal told the jubilant crowd. "I'm not putting any pressure on them. I'm just saying."

Jindal, 40, went on to say he was "truly humbled, honored by the privilege you have bestowed on me."

He added that while Louisiana has made "great strides" in the last four years, "we've got a lot more work to do the next four years."

"I truly believe our best days are ahead of us," he said.
