The bottle hit a 13-year-old girl, investigators said. The school nurse said Andrus first told her the girl had slipped.

Andrus has been charged with injury to a child, court papers said. Katy Independent School District officials said she is on administrative leave.

The complaint said the students, who had been taking photographs outside, were acting up as they returned to the classroom.

Andrus allegedly told investigators she became angry when a student pulled on the blinds.
