Wednesday's search is the first time police have used a warrant. Previous searches were consensual.

Activity picked up Tuesday in a wooded area near the Irwin home on North Lister Avenue.

Nearly 20 officers plus crime scene investigators and search dogs were on hand.

KCTV reported investigators were pulling out dirt sifters but police said later they are still at square one with no new clues.

Also on Tuesday the Kansas Highway Patrol reported locating two women in a black car that witnesses said had a baby matching the missing girl's description. It turned out the infant was not Lisa Irwin, who disappeared from her crib two weeks ago.
