Palin runs half-marathon in Iowa

STORM LAKE, Iowa, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Sarah Palin still isn't saying whether she's running for president but she definitely was seen running in Iowa Sunday -- a half-marathon that is.

Palin played her run in Storm Lake low-key -- registering under her maiden name, Sarah Heath, the Los Angeles Times reported.

But supporters Doug and Diane Adams said they spotted the conservative Republican and her husband Todd.

"They had their visors down low, and the sunglasses on," Doug Adams said. "People didn't know who they were. Amazing they can get in and out of a place, incognito."

Palin finished the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour 46 minutes and 10 seconds, then visited with the Adamses and posed for a photo with them.

"She is gracious and friendly as she could be," said Adams.

Later in the day, Palin tweeted "Thank you, Storm Lake, Iowa. You put on a great event & we loved meeting some great folks in your beautiful town today!"

Palin is scheduled to speak at a tea party rally Monday in Manchester, N.H.
