Suspected Fla. family killer in custody

LE CENTER, Minn., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- A man suspected of killing four members of his family in Florida was in custody Saturday in Minnesota, authorities said.

Henry Segura, 31, charged with killing his girlfriend, their son and her twin daughters in Tallahassee, Fla., last November, was arrested Friday morning in southern Minnesota's Le Sueur County where he has been living and working as a welder, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

He was being held in the county jail pending an extradition hearing, the newspaper said.

County Sheriff Tom Doherty said authorities in Florida provided the heads-up that Segura was in Minnesota.

U.S. Marshal's Service spokesman Thomas Volk told the Star Tribune Segura surrendered without incident, but a shotgun was found in his pickup truck.

Segura is charged with killing Brandi Peters, 27, her 6-year-old twin daughters Tamiyah and Taniyah, and 3-year-old Javanta, who was Segura and Peters' son.
