NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa., Aug. 31 (UPI) -- A Pittsburgh-area man hurrying home because his father had just died of a heart attack suffered a fatal heart attack on the way, friends say.

Charles G. McCauley Sr., 83, and Charles Jr., 54, died about an hour apart Saturday, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.

Both were watching the Pittsburgh Steelers versus the Atlanta Falcons when Charles Sr. died, the father on television at his home in North Huntingdon and the son with his wife Lori at Heinz Field. The couple immediately left the stadium when they got the news, and Charles Jr. began feeling chest pains a short time later.

"It's such a tragedy. This is just a complete family-oriented family, all around," the Rev. Daniel Borsay of the Free Hungarian Reformed Church in McKeesport told the Tribune-Review.

Father and son had much in common. Charles Sr. graduated from Norwin High School in 1947 and his son from the same school in 1974. They both lived in North Huntingdon and belonged to many of the same organizations.

One area where they differed was in religion. Charles Sr. was a Roman Catholic while Charles Jr. was an active member of Borsay's church.
