Two killed in Texas plane crash

BRYAN, Texas, May 29 (UPI) -- Investigators said it would be late Sunday before they have a preliminary report on the deadly crash of a small plane in a Texas parking lot.

Two people were killed Saturday night in Bryan when a private plane traveling from Dallas to Galveston went down in an apartment complex parking lot.

"It was just gliding down South College, but it didn't look like it was in trouble," Jeremy Pospech, a resident of the area, told the Bryan-College Station (Texas) Eagle. "Then I heard the crash."

No one on the ground was injured but at least one car was totaled.

Another witness said he overheard radio traffic at the Easterwood Airport indicating the plane may have experienced a fuel leak.
