PALM BEACH, Fla., May 16 (UPI) -- A New Jersey woman became a Twitter sensation after she posted photos and a video clip of the launch of shuttle Endeavour taken from an airliner over Florida.
Stefanie Gordon, 33, had a window seat on a flight from New York to Palm Beach Monday when she snapped the shuttle emerging from the clouds below the airliner, Mashable.com reported.
Once on the ground, Gordon, an event planner, posted one of the photos to Twitter -- and within hours had more than 1,000 new followers, she said.
She finally had to turn off the notifications on her phone to save the battery, she said.
"I don't have that many Twitter followers, and I basically tweet about sports," Gordon said. "I really didn't expect it to go as viral as it did.
"To be able to see the last shuttle launch of the Endeavour was awe inspiring, and to have a different view of it was just amazing," she said.
