YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Two young men charged with the aggravated murder of an Ohio university student at a fraternity party were denied bail Tuesday.

Columbus Jones Jr., 22, and Braylon Rogers, 19, appeared by video hookup in Youngstown Municipal Court, WYTV reported. Neither entered a plea.

Both face a long list of charges in addition to murder.

Jamail Johnson, 25, a senior at Youngstown State University, was killed early Sunday morning and 11 others were wounded when shots were fired at a fraternity party. Jones and Rogers are not students at the university, and investigators say they were angry about being ejected from the Omega Psi Phi party.

Police also sought to determine if trouble at another frat party and at a Youngstown club that night was related to the shootings.

About 150 students held a vigil for Johnson on campus Monday, the (Warren) Tribune Chronicle reported.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich said in a news conference Monday after meeting with Youngstown Mayor Jay Williams and university President Cynthia Anderson he didn't understand the shooting but promised to make changes to improve safety in Youngstown, 65 miles southeast of Cleveland, The (Youngstown) Vindicator reported.
