Woman allegedly burns boyfriend's genitals

OCALA, Fla., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- A Florida man remained in the hospital Tuesday, three days after his girlfriend allegedly used flammable liquid to burn his genital area.

Robert Williams' sister told the Star-Banner of Ocala doctors at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville have scheduled surgery on him for Wednesday. She said her brother appears to be making a good recovery with no infection.

Victoria Eltona Bynes, 29, of Citra allegedly found Williams at a friend's house Saturday. The friend, Timothy Galloway, told police Bynes and Williams began arguing and she then threw a flammable liquid at his genital area and set his clothes on fire, The Gainesville Sun reported.

Bynes was released on $10,000 bail after being charged with aggravated assault.

Alice Williams said Bynes and her brother had been involved with each other for nine years. She said in recent years Bynes sometimes damaged her boyfriend's property when she was angry, and she and her mother had suggested to him that he end the relationship.
