Colorado mother, two teenagers found dead

COLORADO SPRINGS, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- No arrests have been made in the case of a mother who was found dead at home along with her twin teenagers, Colorado Springs police said Tuesday.

Rene Ogden, 38, and Chase and Olivia Ogden, both 13, were found by Ogden's husband, Tommy, Monday afternoon, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported.

The bodies had signs of "obvious trauma," police said. They have not said whether all three were homicide victims or if murder-suicide is suspected.

Tommy Ogden, who served in Iraq with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment while stationed at Fort Carson, was questioned and released, an officer said Tuesday.

The officer, who did not want to be identified, said there was no sign of a break-in.

Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Noblitt would not say whether Tommy Ogden, who now works for Ace Hardware, is a suspect.

Autopsies may take place Wednesday.

A Facebook friend of Rene Ogden, Brad Ake of Cedar Park, Texas, told the Gazette Tuesday she seemed constantly depressed.

They spent hours online talking about children with disabilities and birth complications, Ake said.

Ake's daughter died soon after birth from severe birth defects; Ogden's son, Chase, was autistic.
