1 U.S. fugitive caught, 1 sought in Canada

OTTAWA, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Police in Canada say they arrested one fugitive from Texas wanted on murder charges and were looking for another sought for violating probation.

The Ottawa Citizen reported Sunday Lox Gorme, 39, was arrested at the Ottawa airport Saturday as he waited to get on a flight to Singapore. Gorme reportedly is accused in the Wednesday shooting death of his ex-wife's brother in Harris County, Texas, the Citizen said.

Gorme was being held pending extradition, police said.

The other case, former CFL quarterback Cody Ledbetter, 36, who is wanted in Texas for violating his probation and in connection with a Saturday disturbance at a home in Ottawa, was still at large pleaded.

Ledbetter pleaded guilty in 2005 to two counts of having an improper relationship with a high school student. He had been a high school coach in Texas.
