Music and the law keep Adrian Perry busy

NEW YORK, July 5 (UPI) -- Adrian Perry, the son of Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, says he has to scramble to juggle his dual careers as a lawyer and rock star.

Perry, 29, told the New York Post he has frequently had to race from a late-night gig to the Manhattan law offices of Weill Gotshal and Manges where he is a second-year associate handling intellectual property and music copyright matters.

"I find myself in bizarre scenarios all the time," said Perry, who plays bass for TAB the band. "I remember one example of trying to get out to a show in New Haven (Conn.). I had to run to Grand Central and change in the bathroom and then run on to the train."

Perry told the Post his legal specialization has actually helped his music career. He said he went into the field in part because of the pitfalls his dad faced during the long and illustrious history of Aerosmith.

"I just don't sleep," Perry joked. "There are some hairy moments doing this but, in my mind, it's very much worth it."
