Woman charged with killing young sons

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- A Texas woman charged with killing her two young children was being held in lieu of $2 million bond Wednesday.

Elyse Marsyl Colon, 22, was arrested Tuesday at her home in San Antonio, the San Antonio Express News reported. Police said they received a 911 call and found Colon outside when they arrived.

"I've just killed my babies," she allegedly said.

Police Chief William McManus said police had to force the door open because it was locked. They found the bodies of her two sons, ages 1 and 3, lying on a bed fully dressed.

"It looked like they were sleeping," McManus said.

The boys had been stabbed.

McManus said police had made previous visits to the house because of domestic violence. Luis Garcia-Pacheco, listed as living at the same address, was arrested last year on a family violence charge and immigration violations.

A neighbor, Betty Estrada, said the boys' grandmother came to the house: "She was crying so hard and screaming 'My babies, my babies.'"
