MAGNA, Utah, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- A minor earthquake registering a 2.8 nudged Utah Wednesday morning, seismologists reported.
The quake woke up some people in the town of Magna in the western Salt Lake Valley around 2 a.m. MST. No damage or injuries were reported.

The Salt Lake Tribune said the quake was centered four miles northeast of the town and was picked up by the University of Utah Seismograph Stations.
