An agreement signed on Monday between Interpol and UNODC will establish the Anti-Corruption Academy in Laxenburg near Vienna, Austria. Officials say the academy will offer training courses to government officials and security authorities on methods and techniques to counter corruption.

"This partnership agreement between Interpol and UNODC to establish the world's first and only International Anti-Corruption Academy demonstrates our common resolve and commitment to educate and train police, government officials and others to fight this serious criminal conduct which threatens the security and safety of citizens around the world," Interpol Secretary-General Ronald Noble said in a statement.
