WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Two Canadian high school teachers are suspended after a video of them performing an erotic lap dance at a Winnipeg, Manitoba, spirit rally was posted online.
A student used her cellphone to record the seated female gym teacher and a male math teacher at a pep rally last Wednesday at Churchill High School and it wasn't until this week school officials learned of it, the Winnipeg Sun reported Wednesday.
"The guy gave the girl teacher a lap dance," a Grade 12 student told the Sun. "It was dirty. He put his face in her crotch. She laughed and looked like she was really enjoying it."
Winnipeg School Division trustee Mike Babinsky told the Winnipeg Free Press the teachers' behavior was "totally inappropriate" and said they had been suspended with pay while the board reviews the incident.
"They look to me like younger staff who got way too into it," he said. "You can't just look the other way in situations like this."
