WINCHCOMBE, England, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Three people were killed Saturday when a private, ex-military helicopter crashed in a field in England amid heavy mist, officials said.
The Gazelle helicopter crashed at a farm in Winchcombe, The Daily Mail reported. A woman living nearby said helicopter came down in heavy mist.
'It was on fire and was still burning after emergency services arrived. It's a horrible situation for everyone concerned -- there are ambulances and rescue crews still here now," said Elizabeth Teague.
The Air Accident Investigation Board confirmed that all three people on-board the helicopter had been killed.
The Gazelle is a French-designed helicopter that can hold five people, including the pilot. It has a top speed of 193 mph and is used by the military for reconnaissance as well as by private pilots.
