NEW YORK, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- A 32-year-old woman thought to have arranged prostitution services for former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has pleaded guilty to related charges.

Kristin Davis entered guilty pleas in Manhattan Supreme Court this week in regard to promoting prostitution charges, but her lawyer rejected claims that the disgraced governor had been one of Davis' clients, the New York Daily News said Friday.

"She was not Spitzer's Madame Butterfly," Davis' lawyer, Daniel Hochheiser, said after Thursday's hearing.

"Some of what has been printed (about Spitzer) is inaccurate," the attorney added.

Spitzer resigned from the governor's mansion in March after he was linked to a high-profile prostitution ring that some reports have identified as being run by Davis.

The New York Post said Davis, who was arrested in March, is expected to receive a sentence of five years of probation and be ordered to pay $460,000 for her guilty pleas.
