Landlord prepares to sue Heidi Fleiss

PAHRUMP, Nev., May 5 (UPI) -- A former landlord of Heidi Fleiss says she is preparing to sue the "Hollywood Madam" for allegedly causing $40,000 in damage to her Nevada home.

Fleiss, 42, who became known in the 1990s for heading a pricey prostitution ring, is accused of causing major wood and water damage to a home in Pahrump, Nev., the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Monday.

It is reported Fleiss and her 25 parrots moved out of the home March 1.

The owner of the home, Christiana MacKnight, an ex-stripper who now runs a Los Vegas lingerie store, said she is preparing to sue Fleiss for $45,000 to $50,000 in damages in addition to legal costs.

"I can't afford to fix it to re-rent it. It's just a mess," MacKnight said.

Fleiss said she did not damage the home and she actually made improvements by fixing its floors.

"She's acting like I moved into a house that was a palace and trashed it, vandalized it. It's not true," Fleiss said.
