Prodigy, 21, about to become doctor

ABUJA, Nigeria, May 29 (UPI) -- Nigerian President-elect Alhaji Umar Yar'Adua assumed office Tuesday amid continuing complaints from opponents that last month's elections were fixed.
Yar'Adua hails from the same Peoples' Democratic Party as former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
On the final night of his presidency, Obasanjo bid Nigerians in a national address "Good night and goodbye. God bless you. God bless Nigeria."
Obasanjo's eight years in office were marked by allegations of widespread corruption and government graft from Nigeria's multibillion-dollar oil industry.
