Obama raises more money

NEW YORK, April 11 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has raised more than $700,000 for his presidential campaign at three fundraising stops in New York City.

After taping the "Late Show with David Letterman," Obama attended three parties Monday that raised between $700,000 and $1 million, supporter Ben Geyerhahn told The New York Daily News.

Obama reported raising $25 million for his campaign in the first quarter of 2007.

A fundraiser scheduled for Wednesday night in Washington was expected to net at least $300,000, campaign officials said.
