Soldier talks of Walter Reed molester

WASHINGTON, April 7 (UPI) -- A U.S. Army veteran says his molestation at Walter Reed Army Medical Center should be taken into consideration as Congress looks to reform the hospital.

A technician, Mario Echeverri, pleaded guilty in 2005 to charges he fondled the soldier, who was sedated while recovering from an illness related to his 2003 duty in Iraq, The Washington Post said.

The conditions at Walter Reed have caused a furor in Washington where Congress has been seeking answers and demanding reforms.

The Post said the same technician had been in trouble at least twice before for alleged similar incidents.
