LA PAZ, Bolivia, March 16 (UPI) -- Citing the longstanding tradition of growing coca, Bolivia's farmers have asked the Coca-Cola Co. to change its name, La Razon reported Friday.
The farmers said they want the word "Coca" to be dropped from the name of America's most popular carbonated beverage, saying that the coca plant is sacred to many indigenous Bolivians and others in the Andean region.
