LA PAZ, Bolivia, March 5 (UPI) -- The United States has sent a planeload of relief supplies to victims of a devastating flood in eastern Bolivia, La Razon reported Monday.
A C-130 Hercules left the Homestead Air Force Base in southern Florida Sunday loaded with water pumps and containers, 2,300 hygiene kits and other supplies.

Heavy rains last month left many low-lying areas in eastern Bolivia flooded, forcing residents to flee their homes. More than 70,000 people have reportedly been affected by the flooding and at least 35 killed.
