Wall collapse in India kills at least 19

MUMBAI, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- At least 19 people were killed when a wall collapsed at a construction site near Mumbai Saturday, police said.

Five people were injured and crews were looking for more victims at the site in the village of Kuthari, the Press Trust of India reported.

"We fear at least two or three more bodies to be trapped under the debris and rescue efforts are on," Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Ramrao Wagh said.

Most of the victims were workers from the Vidarbha's Buldhana district, Wagh said.

Wagh said police arrested the owner of the Bhalla Complex where the collapse occurred. He did not detail the charges leveled against the man.
