Thieves steal car with child inside

AMMAN, Jordan, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Jordanian police were searching for thieves who stole a car without noticing that a child was sleeping in the back seat, reports said Tuesday.

The daily al-Arab said police found a two-and-a-half-year-old child lost in the region of Sahab south of Amman Monday, and after investigation established that the child had been inside the stolen car.

Police sources said the thieves apparently noticed the presence of the child after stealing the car and they simply let him out where the police found him.

Police were continuing the search for the thieves, they said.
