Bakiev was installed as acting president in March after long-time leader Askar Akayev was outed in a bloodless coup. Akayev now lives in Russia.

Bakiev won a July election with 89 percent of the vote.

The 55-year-old said his government will act professionally and will serve based on qualifications, not as a result of political favors.
