Prince Harry films AIDS documentary

LONDON, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Britain's Prince Harry has filmed a documentary about the AIDS-stricken nation of Lesotho, the BBC reported Sunday.

The 19-year-old royal spent eight weeks in the poverty-stricken African country. The documentary was reportedly the Prince's idea.

Some of the footage for The Forgotten Kingdom: Prince Harry in Lesotho was shot by the Prince using his own video camera, the BBC said. The film was expected Sunday to be broadcast on Britain's ITV later this month, although an exact date was not announced.

Around 40 percent of Lesotho's population is thought to be infected with HIV or AIDS, the BBC said.
