Report: Bush disputes Clinton on threat

NEW YORK, May 2 (UPI) -- U.S. President Bush disputed President Clinton's account of their conversation about major threats prior to the Sept. 11 attacks, Time magazine said Sunday.

Bush, in his White House interview with the 9-11 commission last week, said he got the impression Clinton was far more passionate about the dangers of North Korea's nuclear program and the Israeli-Palestine conflict, sources told the magazine.

Clinton, however, earlier told the panel he ranked al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden as the No. 1 problem the new administration would face.

The magazine said Bush continued to express strong support for CIA Director George Tenet although he said he had not been told of the concerns of the CIA and FBI about the man arrested in August 2001 who was allegedly prepared to be a Boeing 747 hijacker, Zacarias Moussaoui.
