Eight dead in chopper crash

BOGOR, Indonesia, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Seven people died Wednesday in the crash of an Indonesian Air Force helicopter, the Jakarta Post reported.

The Puma Twin Pack H-3408 chopper crashed onto Atang Sanjaya airfield in Bogor, West Java, during a test flight, Air Force Col. Teuku Djohan, the airfield commander, said.

Two of the dead were pilots; five were technicians. There were no survivors.

"The flight was taken after the chopper was serviced at the airfield maintenance facility," Djohan said.

Before Wednesday's crash, Indonesia had lost 11 people in two other helicopter crashes during 2003, the Post reported.
