Andersen partner advised against shredding

HOUSTON, June 3 (UPI) -- An Arthur Andersen LLP partner sent to Houston to look into Enron Inc. accounting problems last October testified Monday that he advised the audit supervisor it was a bad time to be shredding documents. John M. Riley was the final witness called by attorneys for Andersen, the Chicago-based accounting firm facing obstruction of justice charges for allegedly destroying Enron documents.
