Traficant looms large over primary

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, May 5 (UPI) -- The district has been redrawn and six Democrats are seeking the nomination but few voters in Mahoning County know anything about any of them, largely because of the one Democrat who isn't in the primary -- James Traficant. Traficant, D-Ohio, has presided over the 17th Congressional District for nine terms and is planning on seeking a 10th as an independent in November, despite his conviction last month on 10 corruption charges.
