Davon House is returning to Green Bay after a two-year hiatus. The 27-year-old cornerback agreed to re-join the Packers on a one-year deal worth approximately $3.5 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
House agreed to the deal while on a free agent visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per NFL Network.
The Packers reportedly wanted to keep House, who played his four NFL seasons in Green Bay from 2011-14, before he signed a four-year, $24.5 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2015.
House recorded a Jaguars' franchise record 23 passes defensed in 2015 but lost his starting job last season. Earlier this month, Jacksonville released House, who was due to make $6 million in 2017.
Last season, House totaled just 13 tackles over 16 games.
The corner's familiarity with Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers' defense was likely a factor in House's decision to return, and he is expected to compete for a starting job.
However, Green Bay is still expected to add secondary depth this offseason.
