President Trump says he's pulling for the New England Patriots

HOUSTON -- United States President Donald Trump is pulling for the New England Patriots to beat the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night in Super Bowl LI.

Trump said in a live radio interview with CBS' Jim Gray that his friendship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft and being acquaintances with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady lead him toward favoring New England.

"Well I guess you have to say that, they've been great friends of mine for a long period of time," Trump told Westwood One. "I think it's going to be a wonderful game actually."

Trump said he's "too busy doing other things" to notice that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been criticized for being a Trump supporter.

"That really has proven to be a two-way street," Trump said in the interview.
