New Orleans Saints to re-sign FB John Kuhn to one-year deal

The New Orleans Saints plan to re-sign fullback John Kuhn to a one-year deal.

Kuhn, who will enter his 12th NFL season, is expected to sign the contract on Friday that includes an $80,000 signing bonus, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Kuhn, 34, originally joined the Saints on a one-year deal during the 2016 training camp after spending nine seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

The 6-foot, 255-pound Kuhn was a lead blocker for running back Mark Ingram, who recorded his first career 1,000-yard season (1,043 yards and six rushing touchdowns).

Kuhn appeared in all 16 games (three starts), totaling 37 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 18 carries and 70 yards receiving and a TD on 16 catches.
