PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- In 2013 the NFL designated that if a team does not volunteer to be profiled by HBO's Hard Knocks, one would be selected.

The rules: a team can't be chosen if it was in the playoffs in the last two seasons, has a first-year coach, or if it has been profiled on the program at any point in the last 10 years.

This offseason, that leaves: The Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Philadelphia Eagles. That list could change if the Saints or Colts move on from its current coaches.

A non-eligible team could still volunteer.

Last year, the Los Angeles Rams were profiled on the show, featuring the personal and professional lives of NFL athletes, coaches, and franchise employees. The announcement for that appearance was made on March 23.

The Ravens were the first team to appear on Hard Knocks, when it appeared in 2001. The Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans, and Rams followed.
