DAVIE, Fla., Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu is looking for a new team with just weeks remaining before the 2016 NFL season.

The 23-year-old was waived by the Miami Dolphins Monday. Ekpre-Olomu tore his ACL this weekend in practice. He also suffered a knee injury in 2014 at Oregon. He has never taken an NFL snap.

Ekpre-Olomu will likely hit injured reserve when he clears the waiver period. He received the injury after getting his cleat stuck in the indoor turf inside the Dolphins' practice bubble Saturday.

The Cleveland Browns waived the 2015 seventh-rounder in April. He signed a four-year, $2.3 million contract with the Browns in May of 2015. That deal included $57,300 guaranteed. The Dolphins signed Boston College product Al Louis-Jean to replace Ekpre-Olomu.
