Miam Dolphins list RB Jay Ajayi over Arian Foster on depth chart

Second-year running back Jay Ajayi was listed above veteran Arian Foster atop the Miami Dolphins' first official depth chart, which was released Monday.

Ajayi is working his way back from a knee injury while Foster signed with Miami in mid-July.

With head coach Adam Gase now at the helm, the Dolphins' backfield is in a state of flux after seeing last season's leading rusher Lamar Miller sign a four-year, $26 million deal with Houston in March.

The 23-year-old Ajayi rushed for 187 yards and one touchdown in nine games during his rookie season.

Foster had just 163 yards and a touchdown in 2015 and is attempting to turn the page from his season-ending Achilles' injury.

The versatile 29-year-old Foster has rushed for 6,472 yards and 54 scores in seven seasons with the Houston Texans while also reeling in 249 receptions for 2,268 yards and 14 touchdowns.
